Switchfoot
Switchfoot – comprising Jon Foreman (vocals/guitar), Tim Foreman (bass), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keys/guitar) and Drew Shirley (guitar) – has sold over 4.4 million albums in its career. Founded in San Diego, CA in 1996, Switchfoot released three independent records before itsbreakthrough album, 2003’s The Beautiful Letdown, which was certified multi-Platinum. Each of the band’s subsequent studio albums – 2005’s Nothing Is Sound, 2006’s Oh! Gravity and 2009’s Hello Hurricane – debuted in the Top 20 on The Billboard 200 and elicited critical acclaim. Vice Verses, released on September 27th, 2011 debuted in the Top 10 on The Billboard 200 and the first single “Dark Horses” is currently Top 10 on Alternative Rock Radio.

Peter Furler
Formerly the lead singer for the Newsboys, Furler has written and produced most of Newsboys’ songs, as well as co-writing/producing songs for other recording artists. He also frequently collaborated with Steve Taylor. Furler was originally the band’s drummer but became the band’s lead singer after the departure of John James in 1997. In July 1999 Furler, along with fellow Australians Dale Bray and Wes Campbell, founded Inpop Records. In 2009 Furler left the Newsboys and is now pursuing a solo career. He released his debut solo album, On Fire, on 21 June 2011 . The first single from the album, “Reach”, was released to radio 25 March 2011 for sale on 19 April 2011. You can expect to see Furler on the Winter Jam 2012 tour.
“I know deep down” Peter says, “that God has given me gifts to use for life. I write songs. I have a gift for melody and words, and I‘m here to use that to encourage those who hear them.” Music, he says, is meant to have life in it. And now that he‘s devoted attention to what‘s most important in his life, music itself has taken on even greater meaning, which is one reason Peter is elated to share these new songs with the world.
